Perform a range of services to meet a variety of needs for clients at a family resource center. Assist with planning, developing and implementing a continuous program with community members, partners, and intra-agency departments. Perform light custodial duties.


Working in conjunction with a lead teacher and a teacher assistant, provide a safe and engaging learning environment for all 4-year-old children in assigned classroom, and ensure that they are supervised at all times.


The program assistant provides overall program support to the weatherization program, including assisting with organization and management of program resources, client communication, and data tracking. The position maintains and organizes client files, including project details, required documentation, and correspondence. The program assistant maintains a thorough understanding of program requirements; working closely with program staff and the fiscal department on program delivery goals.


Operate a mid-sized school bus to transport up to 14 preschoolers to and from Head Start classroom sites, with the assistance of bus monitors.  School days 6:30am to 9:00am and 1:30pm to 4:00pm, 44 weeks per year.

Working in conjunction with two co-teachers, provide a safe and engaging learning environment in a classroom with up to 8 children ages 1 to 2, ensuring that they are well supervised while in our care.


Works with enrolled families of infants or toddlers or preschoolers during weekly home visits, to develop goals based on identified needs, and to provide child development services, counseling, information and training, referrals, and crisis intervention and emergency assistance.


The Health Advocate will work in conjunction with classroom site Nurses and program Health Coordinators toward the goal of optimum health for enrolled preschool children at assigned locations.
