Senior IT Systems Administrator

LOCATION:

6764 Pickard Drive, Mattydale

REPORTS TO:

IT Director

SCHEDULE:

Full-time, 52 weeks per year

STARTING PAY RANGE:

$30.00 to $33.00 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY:  We are seeking a motivated IT professional to support the day-to-day operation, security, and administration of our technology environment and processes. This is a front-facing position requiring strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. The role offers the opportunity to work across systems administration, cybersecurity, cloud services, end-user support, vendor management, and technology operations while providing critical support to daily operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Administer, maintain, and support Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other cloud-based agency applications.

·         Monitor network infrastructure for security threats and vulnerabilities.

·         Administer and monitor endpoint protection solutions.

·         Monitor backup and disaster recovery processes and ensure recoverability.

·         Manage and support help desk operations and end-user requests including customer service, issue resolution, and ticket management.

·         Support IT asset management and inventory control processes.

·         Assist with support and administration of phone systems, including VoIP platforms.

·         Monitor and manage internet content and related controls.

·         Assist with IT project planning and implementation.

·         Assist with vendor and contract management.

·         Assist with tracking software and technology licensing including timely purchase orders.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field required. Candidates with an associate degree and relevant industry certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent) will also be considered.

· 2-4 years of hands-on experience in IT support, systems administration, help desk operations, or a related IT generalist role.
