Grants and Planning Manager

STARTING SALARY:  $65,000 to $70,000 per year

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum two-year degree in Human Services, Social Science, Humanities, or other related field. Minimum two years of experience in writing, monitoring, and executing grants. Previous work in a nonprofit environment is preferred. Excellent writing, research, planning, and interpersonal skills are required. Working understanding of budgets, grant agreements, and community-based research are pluses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify local, state, federal, and corporate funding opportunities.
  • Execute effective funding requests that meet agency and community needs.
  • Coordinate internal/external stakeholders for funding requests.
  • Monitor and execute successful funding requests. Internally, this includes, but is not limited to tracking, reporting, and compliance. Externally, this includes but is not limited to maintaining regular communications, contracts, and compliance with funders.
  • Convene stakeholders to assess agency capacity, understand community needs, hone funding priorities, and solidify new/existing community partnerships.
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret agency and community data. Develop and produce community conversations, needs assessments, and policy positions.
  • Cultivate relationships through meetings, community events, and other networking opportunities. Create and maintain a contact database.
