QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of four years of combined relevant work experience and/or formal college-level education in fields related to family services or social work. A working knowledge and understanding of youths from 8 to 15 years of age. Ability to facilitate relationships between families and volunteers. Availability for occasional evening and weekend events. Reliable transportation and a current NYS driver license. Good computer skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain caseload of 50 matches of volunteer adult mentors with enrolled youths.
• Conduct phone inquiries and in-person interviews with families, youth and volunteers.
• Assist, guide and direct youth, families and volunteers as needed to assure a successful match.
• Process and maintain match records in all necessary formats (database and hard copies).
• Make referrals to support agencies.
• Assist with planning or executing special events and programs for youth and volunteers.
