QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid NYS RN or LPN license and minimum of two years of training in nursing, public health, health education, maternal and child heath, health administration or related field. Three years of experience working in a community health delivery system and previous experience working with low income, culturally diverse families. Eligibility for nursing malpractice insurance. Certification in instruction of CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Monitor and provide technical support to health services staff.
2. Assist in training new health services staff.
3. Support health services staff in assuring families of enrolled children maintain medical and dental homes and receive all identified follow-up.
4. Provide health services support to centers and collaborations.
5. Assist with review of individual health files for Early Head Start and Head Start children.
6. Serve as an advocate for child health, and promote health and safety practices.
7. Ensure confidentiality/HIPAA of child/family records.
8. Provide health support to centers and collaborations in the prolonged absence of health staff.
9. Provide oversight for all health services in the absence of the Coordinator for Health Services.

STARTING PAY RANGE:  $23.57 TO $29.57 PER HOUR
